Nintendo Switch 2

The Nintendo Switch 2 is Nintendo’s next hybrid console, built to play both docked and handheld. A larger 7.9-inch 1080p screen brings HDR support and up to 120Hz refresh rate to portable play. Best of all, it stays backward compatible with your existing Switch game library, both physical and digital.

Power jumps considerably over the original console. The Nintendo Switch 2 runs a new Nvidia processor with 12GB of RAM, so games load faster and push sharper detail whether docked or on the go. Also, the redesigned dock adds active cooling to keep performance steady.

Nintendo Switch 2 Features

• Play on a larger 7.9-inch LCD screen, with HDR10 support and up to 1080p resolution
• Hit up to 120Hz refresh rate for smoother, more responsive gameplay
• Output up to 4K resolution when docked, powered by the upgraded dock’s built-in fan
• Run on 12GB of RAM alongside 256GB of internal storage
• Expand storage further with microSD Express cards, supported up to 2TB
• Stay backward compatible with existing Nintendo Switch games, both physical and digital
• Carry over saved data and digital purchases from your original Switch account

New Controls and Online Features

Because the redesigned Joy-Con 2 controllers add mouse-like functionality, new control schemes become possible. Then GameChat lets friends talk and share screens directly through the console. Also, the new C-button puts GameChat just one press away.

• Use the redesigned Joy-Con 2 controllers, which add mouse-like movement for select games
• Chat with friends and share your screen through the new GameChat feature
• Press the new C-button, dedicated to launching GameChat instantly
• Carry over your existing Nintendo Switch Online account and saved data
• Connect through USB-C ports on both the top and bottom of the console
• So, whether you buy the base console or the Mario Kart World bundle, setup stays the same

Overall, the Nintendo Switch 2 builds on everything the original did well, with real power behind it. It rewards both new players and returning Switch owners with a wider game library from day one. Browse our Nintendo Switch 2 collection for more consoles and accessories.
